The following downloads are available for cfmemcached. There are two versions of memcached clients that are maintained/ stored at this location. These clients are coldfusion representations of two different java memcached clients. The aim of the coldfusion client is to be a wrapper around the java client and allow easier access to memcached.
why are there two different versions and which should i choose?
Each of the clients is optimized and has different features. The one that you choose is based on your particular needs. The newest client based on the java memecached client written by dustin sallings features the ability to make requests asyncrounously, as well as it is highly optimized for storage.
The second one written by Greg Whalin is also well written but less highly optimized.
The latest version of cfmemcached client is:
- 1.2 - New memcached java library, configurable timeouts, getStatus() method now returns a proper struct.
- 1.1 - includes some bug fixes and more support
